ART & ARTISTS CURRICULUM:
The classrooms have been very busy talking about color, shape, line and many famous works of art, and the artists who created them. The teachers have shown examples and discussed, Claude Monet, Piet Mondrian, Vincent VanGogh, Jackson Pollock, Henri Matisse, Joseph Turner, Katsushika Hokusai, Vassily Kandinsky, Hendrick Avercamp, Frida Kahlo and Georgia O’Keefe.
Below are three different examples of Claude Monet. All three classrooms used Monet’s famous, “Water Lilies” painting for their inspiration. They discussed the texture, light, shade and pastel colors that Claude Monet is so famous for in his works of art.
