Meet our Staff
Mrs. Leeann Plouffe
Leeann Plouffe has been Lead Teacher and Director of Theophany School since the Fall 2003. She earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to Theophany School she worked at the Stride Rite Children's Center in Lexington, MA. During her 8 years there, she taught in each of the classrooms from toddlers to preschoolers, and was also involved in many administrative duties aiding the Director and Assistant Director. Her interests include cooking, crafts, sewing, gardening and scrapbooking. She attends St. George Orthodox Church in Norwood with her husband Rich, and two children. Leeann is a member of the Parish Council and sings in the choir.
Mrs. Melissa Sayeg
Mrs. Sayeg is one of the preschool teachers at Theophany School. She is a life-long Orthodox Christian. She and her husband Raymond and four daughters attend St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Cambridge. Melissa has a Certificate in Early Childhood Development and a B.A. in Arts Administration from Simmons College. Melissa has been involved with Theophany School since 1999. Prior to Theophany School she worked developing curriculum for the Cambridge Arts Council, and ran her own Family Child Care for three years. In her spare time Melissa is a Sunday School teacher at St. Mary's and she also enjoys sewing, quilting and cooking.
Mrs. Elizabeth Mallios
Elizabeth is one of the preschool teachers at Theophany School. She attended Salem State College in Salem, MA where she received her BA in Early Childhood Education. Elizabeth and her husband Stavros has been involved with the school as parents since 2003. Both of their daughters are alumni of Theophany. Elizabeth began teaching part-time in the classroom in 2007 at Theophany School, and has been with us full-time since then. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, gardening and camping with her family.
Ms. Emily Howard
Emily is one of the preschool teachers and is excited to begin her first year at Theophany School. She earned her B.A. in psychology from Bates College, and her Master’s of Special Education from Lesley University. Emily has been a lifelong parishioner at St. George Orthodox Church in Norwood, where she sings in the choir, advises the Teen SOYO group, and leads the Bible Bowl teams. Additionally, she is the secretary of the Boston Metropolitan Committee of IOCC, and a contributing writer for Pravmir.com. In her spare time, Emily enjoys running, traveling, hiking, and iconography.
